Torrance, California — June 12, 2026
Fertility Law Group is currently investigating reports of a significant embryo loss event involving RPMG Fertility / Reproductive Partners Medical Group in Torrance, California. We have been contacted by multiple patients who report that their embryos were compromised or destroyed after an incorrect gas mixture was introduced into embryo incubators.
Patients report that they were told by RPMG that a gas supply company provided the wrong tank, but that the clinic allegedly failed to check the tank label before using it and failed to properly monitor the health of embryos that had been exposed to the fatal gas mixture. We are continuing to evaluate these reports and the circumstances surrounding how this event occurred, and why it was not prevented.
For many patients, embryos represent years of hope, invasive medical procedures, hormonal stimulation, egg retrievals, financial sacrifice, and the possibility of having a biological child. The loss of embryos is not a minor inconvenience. Patients should not feel pressured to accept a small “token” payment or reimbursement that fails to account for the full emotional, physical, financial, and reproductive harm caused by the loss of embryos.
We are evaluating potential claims on behalf of affected patients, including those who lost embryos, lost the opportunity for future transfer, or may no longer have the same chance to have genetically related children.
If you were notified by RPMG Fertility, Reproductive Partners Medical Group, or any related clinic that your embryos were damaged, lost, destroyed, or otherwise affected, we encourage you to contact Fertility Law Group for a free and confidential consultation. Before signing any release, accepting any settlement, or agreeing to reimbursement terms, you deserve to understand your rights.
